Simple Image Gallery Slideshow for Joomla

SIG Slideshow is a Joomla Module.
SIG Slideshow hooks into Simple Image Gallery (SIG). It reads a category or section, and checks for a Gallery. In that case, it will show that Gallery within a module-position.
With the help of SmoothGallery it is transformed into a slideshow.

Installation

The module can simply be installed through the backend of Joomla.

  • Of course Simple Image Gallery should be installed,
  • Choose the right category in the parameters of the module,
  • Choose a module-position,
  • The module reads out certain settings from the SIG plugin, like the size of the thumbnails. Choose with the settings of the plugin the size of the thumbnails,
  • It is advised to use the smartResize function within SIG. This gives much better results.

Hmm, I tested it here and it works allright.
You use Joomla 2.5 with the French language pack installed? If so, and you install SIG-slideshow, you should have a file /language/fr-FR/fr-FR.mod_sig_slideshow.ini
    Does that file exist?
Also, what language setting do you have in your language settings for the admin side. You can set that in “/Extensions/Language Manager/Aministrator”.
Also, make sure you don’t override the language settings in your user profile.
If nothing strange shows up there, can you enable language debugging, and show me the output? Preferrably by mail or through the contact form on this website.

  3. Is there any way to set the image background color to “no color” or “clear”?
